Southwire Company is seeking an Electrical BIM Modeler to create and maintain 3D models using BIM software and collaborate with project teams. This role involves ensuring models meet project requirements, producing installation drawings, and applying knowledge of electrical design.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree with 2-4 years of experience and proficiency in BIM tools such as Revit and AutoCAD. The position includes domestic travel up to 25% of the time.

Location: Remote
The main responsibilities of the Electrical BIM Modeler include creating and maintaining 3D models using BIM software, collaborating with contractors, engineers, and other members of the construction planning services team, ensuring the models are accurate and meet project requirements, and using the models to identify and resolve conflicts or issues during the design phase. This individual will produce job‑site electrical installation drawings based on innovative and efficient practices. He or she will be responsible for applying BIM/VDC knowledge, concepts, and experience to size, evaluate, select, and specify raceway and wire routing for electrical power, lighting, and auxiliary systems in accordance with relevant codes and standards. Utilizing existing custom Southwire technology tools as well as industry BIM/VDC tools and technologies.
