Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical BIM Designer to create and maintain detailed 3D models in Revit for large-scale construction projects. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors, perform clash detection, and support field operations with remote coordination.

This fully remote contract-to-hire role is based out of Austin, TX, with a pay range of $25.00-$41.00/hr and opportunities to advance VDC design processes, including LOD 350-400 electrical work and conduit/cable tray

Qualifications

• Experience with Revit and BIM modeling on complex projects.
• Familiarity with clash detection and MEP coordination.
• Proficient in electrical system layout and shop drawing coordination.
• Knowledge of LOD 350-400 deliverables for electrical work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate 3D Revit models for projects.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors for team alignment.
• Perform clash detection and resolve design conflicts.
• Collaborate with MEP teams for integrated designs.
• Support remote coordination and field data integration into models.
• Prepare technical drawings and project schedules.
• Ensure model accuracy and adherence to standards and deadlines.
• Stay current with BIM/VDC advancements and apply improvements.
• Use collaboration tools to improve model accessibility.
