Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants seeks a Professional to Project Electric Transmission Siting Specialist to establish and grow our electrical transmission line practice. This role supports our Philadelphia, PA practice and can be based from Northeast offices with hybrid or remote options.

You will lead routing studies, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and manage environmental permitting and filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Ecology, Planning or Geospatial Analysis.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in managing environmental permitting and planning projects.
• Understanding of state siting processes for electric transmission lines is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a siting and environmental permitting SME.
• Work with clients on public involvement programs; attend and participate in open houses, public meetings, and hearings.
• Managing and directing routing/siting studies, analyses, and related reports and state filings.
• Collaborate across the firm with multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, attorneys, planners, permitting and environmental specialists.
• Mentor staff to support growth and professional development.
• Drive personal and rental vehicles to client or project sites as needed.
