Job summary

Water's Edge is seeking a creative Contract eLearning Visual Designer and Absorb LMS Producer to transform approved course content into polished, navigable experiences within Absorb LMS. This role focuses on visual design, multimedia production, and template creation, collaborating with writers and the Internal Course Manager without deciding course development itself.

The contractor will ensure content integrity, accessibility, and brand alignment while delivering reusable assets and templates

Qualifications

• Strong visual design portfolio for digital learning and web content.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
• Ability to translate prepared content into coherent, visually engaging learning experiences.
• Practical video production including lighting, audio capture, editing, and web-ready output.
• Solid typography, layout, brand consistency, and responsive digital design.
• Excellent project and time-management with attention to detail.
• Clear communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Build and format approved online courses in Absorb LMS (and Absorb Create when available).
• Create a coherent visual system per course, including thumbnails, posters, titles, graphics, icons, and resources.
• Organize content into chapters and lessons with proper visual hierarchy and navigation.
• Apply consistent layout, color, imagery, and motion to support the learner journey.
• Produce interactive elements, quizzes, and assessments as directed by the writer.
• Prepare and upload web-optimized graphics, audio, video, and SCORM packages.
• Plan production approach with writers, capture high-quality video/audio on-site or remotely.
• Edit video/audio with color correction, audio cleanup, captions, titles, and transitions.
• Maintain visual/audio consistency across courses and templates for reuse.
