Job summary

JBA International, a respected plaintiff-side personal injury and elder abuse law firm, seeks an experienced Elder Abuse Litigation Attorney to join its California team. This position is suited for an attorney committed to protecting vulnerable adults and pursuing accountability from negligent healthcare facilities.

Handle elder abuse and wrongful death matters from pre-litigation through trial; draft pleadings and motions; take and defend depositions; appear at hearings and trials across

Qualifications

• Active membership in the California Bar.
• Strong litigation, deposition, mediation, and courtroom skills.
• Experience with nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, or skilled nursing facilities.
• Familiarity with EADACPA claims involving falls, bed sores, malnutrition, dehydration, medication errors, sepsis, and medical neglect.
• Excellent written, verbal, and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle elder abuse and wrongful death matters from pre-litigation through trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, and trial-related documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials throughout California.
• Review medical records and healthcare facility documentation.
• Collaborate with medical experts, paralegals, case managers, and support staff.
• Develop litigation strategies focused on maximizing client recovery.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case developments.
• Independently manage a high-volume caseload.
