Active California Bar license and 1+ year of elder abuse litigation experience are required.

Qualifications

Active California Bar license in good standing.
1+ year of elder abuse or neglect litigation experience.
Experience with nursing home, long-term care, healthcare, or related litigation strongly preferred.
Strong litigation writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
Ability to manage discovery, deadlines, and multiple active matters.
Defense-side elder abuse or healthcare litigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Handle elder abuse and neglect litigation involving nursing homes, long-term care facilities, and healthcare-related matters.
Manage cases through discovery, motion practice, settlement, and trial preparation.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, briefs, and other litigation documents.
Take and defend depositions and assist with developing case strategy.
Coordinate with medical and other expert witnesses.
Analyze medical records, facility records, discovery, and other evidence.
Prepare for and participate in court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and internal team members.
Manage deadlines and case responsibilities with increasing independence based on experience.
