Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced teacher of record to deliver live and asynchronous instruction, using research-based practices. You will set up courses in the LMS, monitor student progress, and provide timely feedback and grades while maintaining contact with families.

The role emphasizes differentiation, culturally responsive teaching, and collaboration with the school leadership to report progress and meet state accountability goals. Travel for testing is involved.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan teaching license in appropriate content area required.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years' experience teaching.
• Comfortable in growth-focused coaching with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Word and Outlook; able to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and meet achievement and accountability goals.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference using research-based practices.
• Complete course setup in the Learning Management System.
• Monitor progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grades.
• Track and maintain contact with each student and communicate with families.
• Collaborate with Principal to create student progress reports and adjust instruction.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs; plan field trips and in-person activities as required.
• Travel to support required face-to-face state testing annually.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
