Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for Oklahoma teaching certification.
• Familiarity with state and federal guidelines related to EL instruction (WIDA).
• Full-time availability 8am–4pm CST, Monday–Friday.
• Certification in world language: Spanish.
• Strong communication and technology skills.
• Knowledge of the Oklahoma State Performance Framework.
• Experience with EL students preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency preferred.
• Virtual teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel for meetings and state testing events.
• 2-step authentication required to login to all systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the organization, administration and completion of state-mandated EL assessments (WIDA) and other statewide testing initiatives.
• Attend local and state professional development trainings related to Title III compliance and instruction.
• Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on assessments and individual needs.
• Become proficient with supplemental programs to support ELs in the virtual setting, including interpreting data.
• Complete grading, create progress reports and conduct learning coach conferences.
• Review curriculum and devise alternate approaches to presenting lessons to increase student understanding.
• Communicate with learning coaches, students and teachers to develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules.
• Communicates regularly with learning coaches, students, and certified content area teachers.
• Keep student records and data up-to-date including attendance and logs.
• Attend field trips and other community activities for students and families.
• Support the instructional program with asynchronous and synchronous sessions.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and assessments to guide learning toward goals.
• Manage and monitor a homeroom of EL students and related tasks.
• Build relationships with learning coaches and students through regular communication.
• Provide instruction and delivery of Spanish levels 1-4.
