Job summary

Texas Connections Academy @ Houston is hiring an English Language Teacher to manage virtual EL support for students collaborating with general education teachers and Learning Coaches. The role involves LPAC processes and ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations.

The teacher will use technology to deliver both asynchronous and synchronous instruction, coordinate screenings, participate in state testing, and provide regular parent communication to support learners and families.

Qualifications

• ESL certification valid for Texas grades 3-12.
• Experience teaching EL students preferred.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate language proficiency screenings and LPAC meetings.
• Participate in State Testing administration as directed.
• Deliver asynchronous and synchronous ESL instruction via virtual platforms.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and Learning Coaches.
• Maintain accurate EL data views and student records.
