Job summary

Applitrack is seeking an EL Teacher for Assigned Site in Oklahoma under a 9-month contract. Requires a Bachelor's degree and valid Oklahoma certification in the subject area, with EL Certification preferred by April 1. Experience with English Language Learners is encouraged.

The teacher will implement EL services per district plan, collaborate with staff, and communicate student progress to families, while adhering to district and state standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid Oklahoma certification required in subject area taught; meets Oklahoma State Department of Education and Federal standards for a qualified teacher.
• EL Certification by April 1 of the current school year is preferred or required.
• Experience: internship or teaching experience in English Language Learners is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of second language learning patterns and best practices in English language development.
• Serve as a resource to classroom teachers to help EL students achieve academically in the classroom.
• Delivers EL services as described in the EL district plan utilizing the WIDA ELD standards and district interventions.
• Communicates with families of EL learners about test results and academic progress; responds to parental requests for information in a timely manner.
