Job summary

Avantor seeks a senior EHSSS leader to provide tactical and strategic support for operations in Czechia, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia, reporting remotely to the European Director EHSS&S. Ideal base in Czechia or Hungary.

You will drive Safe System of Work development, coordinate stakeholders, and serve as SME to site leadership. Language skills include Hungarian or Czech (fluent) and English (C1).

Qualifications

• Significant demonstrable experience in a global organisation across multiple geographies.
• Languages: Hungarian or Czech fluent; English at C1 level.
• Lead auditor training for ISO 14001 and 45001.
• Relevant environmental or safety qualifications (> level 6).

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop EHSSS&S topics for the site operations.
• Create and maintain Safe System of Work (SSoW) for EHSS, security, and sustainability.
• Coordinate with regulators and audits; support incident investigations.
• Drive ISO 14001/45001 compliance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and plan for emergencies.
