Job summary

RiverTech, an Akima company, is seeking an EHS Technician to manage and implement safety programs, ensure OSHA and DoD policy compliance, and lead incident investigations. The role is remote with about 10 hours per week and requires a SECRET clearance, US citizenship, and a bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field.

Travel up to 75% is expected. Responsibilities include safety assessments, mishap investigations, ergonomic analyses, and documenting comprehensive safety reports.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of hands-on environmental, health, and safety experience.
• US citizenship and valid driver’s license.
• Current SECRET security clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% and work remotely as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facility safety and compliance with SOH standards.
• Investigate mishaps and hazards to prevent recurrence.
• Implement risk-reduction programs and conduct ergonomic assessments.
• Prepare safety reports including facility assessments, investigations, and training records.
• Provide training and technical guidance on safety to personnel and lead regional SOH activities.
• Attend MILCON and renovation meetings and document safety concerns with mitigation recommendations.
