Job summary

Wells is seeking a proactive Field EHS Compliance Manager to support field and sealant operations, implement safety programs, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations across construction sites. This remote-based role requires frequent travel to Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and potentially other states to promote a safety-first culture and prevent incidents.

The ideal candidate will lead OSHA training, conduct site inspections, and manage workers’ compensation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety management, construction management, industrial hygiene or related program preferred.
• Five years of experience in construction safety including environmental compliance and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, implements, and maintains field safety processes to prevent injuries.
• Builds and reinforces a strong safety culture, holding all employees accountable.
• Conducts Job Safety Analyses, site inspections and audits, implementing necessary changes.
• Delivers OSHA compliance and new hire safety training, maintaining accurate records.
• Rectifies unsafe acts and recognizes safe behaviors to reinforce safety practices.
• Sets and tracks safety goals to protect employees and minimize company liability.
• Manages workers’ compensation cases and supports injured employees’ return to work.
• Investigates accidents, incidents, and near misses, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
• Evaluates and recommends improvements for PPE and other safety equipment.
• Collaborates with leadership, safety committees and project teams to integrate and monitor safety in daily operations.
