Job summary

MIYO Health is seeking a Remote Educational ASL Interpreter to provide real-time interpretation for students in a New Mexico school district. This full-time, school-based role supports access to instruction during the school day from a remote location.

• Experience as educational/school-based interpreter preferred.
• Familiarity with K-12 settings ideal.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Active NM state board license or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time ASL interpretation for classroom instruction and school activities.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, peers, and staff.
• Maintain FERPA and district confidentiality.
• Collaborate with school staff and special education teams as needed.
• Attend required meetings or check-ins related to student support.
