Job summary

Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce (CEW) seeks an Assistant/Associate Research Professor to design and execute applied research on education, labor markets, and economic mobility. The role emphasizes quantitative analysis and leadership of cross-disciplinary teams.

The position is fully remote, non-tenure-track, with a salary range of $120,000–$140,000 and opportunities to disseminate findings to policymakers and the public.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics, public policy, sociology, education policy, or related quantitative social science field; OR Master’s in related field with substantial applied research experience.
• Expert quantitative research and econometric skills.
• Expert programming skills in at least one statistical language (Python, R, Stata, or SAS).
• Experience with large-scale education/workforce datasets (ACS, CPS, SIPP, HSLS:09, NPSAS).

Responsibilities

• Design and lead applied research projects from conception through dissemination.
• Manage cross-disciplinary project teams and research questions.
• Communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences.
