Job summary

Language Services Associates, Inc. is seeking telephonic interpreters to join its network of Independently Contracted Interpreters. You will handle on-demand calls and facilitate language communication for LEP communities in a variety of settings.

We value professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to the Code of Professional Conduct. Prior interpreting experience and industry certifications are preferred, and LSA supports a global workforce with flexible opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in English and Edo.
• Proficient with web-based platforms, email and Microsoft Word.
• A quiet, secure interpreting space.
• At least 1 year of professional interpreting experience preferred.
• Industry-specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)

Overview

As a telephonic interpreter for Edo in LSA’s network of Independently Contracted Interpreters, you are responsible for handling telephone calls on demand and facilitating language communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community in a variety of settings. Language Services Associates is continuously accepting qualified interpreters!

• Provide effective telephonic remote interpreting
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices

Qualifications/Experience

• Full fluency in both English and Edo
• Technology proficient (web-based platforms, email, Microsoft Word)
• An interpreting space that is quiet, secure, and free from outside noises
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap, Cross-Cultural, etc.)
