People Inc. is seeking an Editorial Operations Specialist to help manage contracts and compensation for a network of independent contractors. You will liaise with editors, freelancers, and internal teams to ensure accurate contract processing and timely payments.

You will oversee contracts, tax forms, and onboarding processes, while coordinating with legal and HR to handle changes and compliance. Strong organizational skills are essential in a fast-moving publishing environment.

• Familiar with contract handling and contractor compliance processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contracts and tax forms for multiple brands and divisions.
• Serve as main contact for 1099 contractor compliance with HR and compliance teams.
• Coordinate contract changes with legal under manager guidance.
• Lead onboarding processes and related documentation.
• Enter data accurately for freelancer payments and accrual tracking.
• Process payments for freelancer invoices.
• Communicate with editors and freelancers to ensure correct contract processing.
