Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Edifecs EDI Analyst/Transaction Specialist for a remote role with the Veterans Affairs department. You will own EDI workflows, validate data, troubleshoot 270/271, 276/277, 820, 835 and other X12 transactions, and ensure SNIP compliance.

You will collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, cloud teams, and business stakeholders in AWS environments, document mappings, and support audits while maintaining data quality guardrails and effective error

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Edifecs product experience in EDI, healthcare, or enterprise operations.
• 8+ years of EDI/HIPAA experience and HIPAA familiarity.
• Deep hands-on EDIFECS experience in X12 transactions and key workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own EDI workflows, partner requirements, and data validation rules.
• Interpret and troubleshoot transaction sets: 270/271, 276/277, 278, 820, 834, 835, 837, 999/277CA.
• Collaborate with EDI Analysts, DevSecOps, Cloud teams, and business stakeholders.
• Validate payloads, timestamps, statuses, and error flags; reconcile mismatches.
