Job summary

Missouri Development Finance Board (MDFB) in Jefferson City seeks a Portfolio Manager to oversee assets and evaluate economic development projects for Board financial support. You will engage with private operators, vendors, and state partners to ensure strong financial and operational performance.

Ideal candidates bring advanced knowledge of public financing tools, real estate and project management experience, and the ability to work independently under direction from the Executive Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field.
  • Ten+ years of economic development experience.
  • Experience with real estate development and project management.
  • Experience with economic modeling or feasibility analysis.
  • Progressively responsible positions leading project teams from proposal to implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Actively manage MDFB asset portfolio, including three structured parking facilities in St. Louis.
  • Manage and monitor capital projects and third-party contracts.
  • Lead requests for Board involvement in public-private partnerships including feasibility assessments and financial analysis.
  • Negotiate and structure projects to minimize risk and align with state priorities.
  • Lead programming and support development with state partners for industrial site and infrastructure.
  • Present reports, research, and project recommendations to the Board of Directors.
  • Review portfolio assets and provide repositioning or restructuring recommendations.
  • Travel required throughout the state.
