Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking an eCOB Specialist I to research and investigate COB coverage for members and groups, and to coordinate benefits across multiple systems. You will reconcile claims, enrollment data, and accounting in COB workflows, interpreting complex rules and ensuring accurate processing.

This hybrid role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and a commitment to high-quality member service.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of claims processing and/or customer service and a minimum of 1 year COB experience.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify members who should have COB coverage and report findings.
• Assist in enrolling members in Medicare when entitled.
• Update membership systems with investigation results for COB coordination.
• Provide correct forms to assist enrollment in Medicare.
• Review claim history to reconcile processed, pended or recovered claims.
• Apply COB formulas per state and federal guidelines to adjudicate impacted claims.
• Multi-task across calls, texts, and queues while taking notes and speaking with customers.
• Maintain focus in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and communicate clearly.
