Qualifications

• Requires a HS diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of claims processing and/or customer service and a minimum of 1 year coordination of benefits experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Responsibilities

• Research and investigate other coverage for company groups and members; perform end-to-end COB functionality including reconciliation of claims, membership and accounting.
• Initiate calls to other carriers, members, groups, providers, attorneys, CMS and Medicaid to identify members who are or should be enrolled in other coverage.
• Assist members in enrolling in Medicare when eligible and ensure correct forms and enrollment steps are provided.
• Update all membership system components with investigation results for claim coordination; review claim history to reconcile processed, pended or recovered items.
• Identify correct COB formulas to adjudicate impacted claims across product types per state and federal guidelines.
• Handle multiple tasks (calls, texts, faxes, electronic queues) while documenting interactions and maintaining focus in a fast-paced environment.
