Job summary

Sure Secure Solutions, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to support NASA’s EOSDIS Evolution and Development 3 contract. This full-time remote role offers telecommuting options and requires strong cloud, DevOps, and software development skills.

You will work in an Agile environment on the NASA Earthdata Cloud, building tools, automating processes, and ensuring high availability and compliance across cloud-based services.

Qualifications

• : 3+ years of cloud services experience in IAAS/PAAS.
• : In-depth knowledge of AWS including Lambda and Step Functions.
• : 3-5 years programming/scripting in C++, Bash, Python, Java and JavaScript in Agile environments.
• : Experience with DevOps automation tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform).
• : Familiar with AWS DevOps services and Terraform/IAM.
• : Desire to automate processes and create infrastructure-as-code in DevOps.
• : Analyze current cloud infra and implement improvements.
• : Ability to communicate with customers and team at all levels.
• : UNIX OS experience; lifecycle software development in large n-tier apps; AWS certs.

Responsibilities

• : Build innovative tools enabling scientists to discover, transform, update, and improve data quality.
• : Perform operations, maintenance, and development for NASA Earthdata Cloud in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• : Ensure adherence to operational agreements and NASA standards (including Section 508).
• : Automate processes and ensure high availability, data replication, and real-time recovery.
