Job summary

Dynamic Integrated Services (DIS) is seeking a Drupal Designer and Developer to join our Design and Digital Services team, supporting Federal agencies and a large public health research program. The role combines strong visual UX with hands-on Drupal development to translate approved content into accessible, responsive Drupal experiences across pages and components.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in web development, computer science, digital design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
At least five years of professional web design and development experience, including at least three years of hands-on Drupal development and Drupal 10 production sites.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Drupal theming/templating; experience with React or Twig
Hands-on experience configuring Drupal content types, fields, Views, blocks, and reusable components
Strong understanding of responsive design, typography, layout, visual hierarchy, navigation, and user-centered design
Ability to create designs in Figma and carry them through development
Experience applying accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG) and conducting accessibility checks
Ability to interpret analytics and usability findings to improve pages
Experience using Git to manage changes and deployments
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work independently

Responsibilities

Develop and implement approved website content and design changes for Drupal 10 environments.
Translate requirements into layouts, wireframes, prototypes, and responsive designs while preserving branding.
Create Drupal-compatible code, components, templates, and materials that are maintainable.
Use component library to arrange code and coordinate with teams for updates.
Apply user behavior analyses to improve page organization, navigation, and content presentation.
Coordinate with client teams to confirm requirements and incorporate feedback.
Test content, components, and templates for functionality, accessibility, and cross-browser support.
Document implementation steps and results, and prepare handoff materials.
Respond to technical questions and resolve issues during integration and testing.
Manage workloads, communicate progress and risks, and deliver on schedule.
