Job summary

Vay seeks a Teledriver based in Las Vegas to remotely operate autonomous vehicles from a driving station and support customer service efforts. You will be part of a rapidly scaling team launching cutting-edge remote driving technology on public streets.

Ideal candidates have a clean US driving record with at least two years of professional driving, are comfortable with morning or evening shifts in Las Vegas, and can pass a drug test.

Qualifications

• A safe and responsible driver with a clean US license and at least 2 years of professional driving experience.
• Familiar with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Tech-savvy with comfort using digital interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Remotely operate vehicles from a driving station to customers or within the local service area.
• Act as a Safety or Teledriver for vehicle testing per protocols.
• Deliver exceptional customer service in interactions with Vay users.
• Support engineering teams with data collection, feedback, and test reports.
• Pitch in with fleet and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.

What's happening at Vay

• First to roll out vehicles in both Europe and the USA on public roads without a human being inside & currently the 2nd largest commercial, driverless car fleet in the Western World.
• We've partnered with Kodiak to bring remote-driving technology to autonomous trucks in the US, showcasing our ability to integrate our system into heavy-duty commercial vehicles and expand the applications of our tech across the US.
• We've completed 10's of thousands of trips so far and are busy multiplying our Las Vegas fleet just to meet demand!

Join the cutting edge of mobility tech as a Teledriver at Vay, where you'll be helping to redefine how people move through cities. Based out of our Las Vegas office (in-person, not remote), you'll help launch and shape the future of remote vehicle operation while working with a passionate and forward-thinking team. Plus, with a starting rate of $18/hr and potential to earn up to $25/hr, it's a rewarding role in more ways than one.

What you'll be driving

• Remotely operate vehicles from a driving station to customers or within the local service area
• Act as a Safety or Teledriver for vehicle testing, following set protocols
• Deliver exceptional customer service in interactions with Vay users
• Support engineering teams with data collection, feedback, and test reports
• Pitch in with fleet and administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations and great user experiences

What are we looking for

• A safe and responsible driver with a clean US license and at least 2 years of professional driving experience (Uber, Lyft, taxi, etc.)
• Comfortable working morning or evening shifts (5:30 AM to 2:30 PM or 2:00 PM to 10 PM, 5 days per week, in-office in Las Vegas)
• Able to pass a drug test, including THC
• Tech-savvy: ideally with gaming experience or high comfort with digital interfaces
• Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure with a troubleshooting mindset
• Familiarity with Google Workspace tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
• Passionate about the future of autonomous vehicles and urban mobility
