Job summary

Arete Scholars Fund seeks a Development Operations Manager to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of tax credits, donations, and donor data within the CRM. You will support fundraising strategy by delivering timely data insights and reliable donor information.

You will analyze program and scholarship data to measure impact, connect donor activity with outcomes, and help leadership make informed decisions, while maintaining data integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; a college degree preferred.
• Experience in a nonprofit Development/Fundraising/Finance role.
• Experience with gift processing, donor data mining, and tax receiving/credits.
• Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleaning.
• Strong experience with HubSpot or another CRM.
• High accuracy and attention to detail with financial and donor data.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Strong data analysis and written/verbal communication skills.
• Discretion with sensitive donor data.
• Alignment with Arete Scholars’ mission and expanding opportunities for underserved students.

Responsibilities

• Track, record, and reconcile all tax credit and charitable donations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain and improve donor database and CRM accuracy (HubSpot).
• Enter and update gift, donor, and pledge records timely; support receipts and acknowledgments.
• Pull data and generate regular and ad hoc fundraising reports for leadership and Board.
• Prepare Board Impact Reports with key donor and fundraising data.
• Support development dashboards tracking revenue, donor acquisition/retention, and KPIs.
• Assist with segmentation and list generation for mailings and donor communications.
• Handle general admin tasks and project work while maintaining confidentiality.
