Job summary

Defcon AI is hiring a Talent Acquisition Partner to own recruiting and onboarding, with a focus on technical roles and DoD contracts. Reporting to the Head of HR, you’ll build pipelines for AI/ML, data, and engineering roles while shaping People Ops processes as the company scales.

You will own end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and partner with leadership to design programs. This is a remote role with strong DoD credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical recruiting experience in high-growth startups, gov contractors, or fast-paced tech env.
• Demonstrated experience recruiting for DoD programs or government contracts with security clearances (Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI).
• Ability to manage end-to-end talent funnel from intake to offer negotiations.
• Strong interest in People Operations beyond filling seats.
• Maturity and executive presence partnering with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hiring for technical and non-technical roles across the business.
• Develop DoD-cleared talent strategy and manage security-clearance timelines.
• Collaborate with Hiring Managers and Head of HR to scope roles and speed decisions.
• Build an elite passive-talent pipeline within AI and Defense sectors; target cleared candidates.
• Refine interview processes and feedback to elevate candidate experience.
