Blake Willson Group seeks a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to deliver hands-on general ledger accounting and DoD financial reporting support focused on Working Capital Fund activities. You will maintain accurate records, analyze balances, and ensure compliance with federal standards in a fully remote U.S.

role. Responsibilities include journal voucher prep, reconciliation, and DDRS/reporting coordination with DoD stakeholders, identifying variances, and maintaining audit-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on general ledger accounting experience.
• 3+ years supporting DoD accounting or financial reporting, preferably within a Working Capital Fund.
• 1+ year applying federal accounting standards (SFFAS, OMB Circular A-11, A-136).

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal vouchers, trial balance analysis, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Support DoD financial reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data.
• Prepare, review, and validate financial reports via DoD DDRS and related systems.
• Coordinate with DoD, DFAS, and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and clarifications.
• Identify trends and root causes to improve financial records and reporting.
