Job summary

Stantec GS, Inc. is seeking interdisciplinary Facility Assessors/Inspectors for a large-scale DoD facility condition assessment program across the United States. The role requires knowledge of building systems and experience with assessment software, including BUILDER SMS.

Remote/hybrid work is available, with travel 50% or more to DoD sites. Qualified candidates will have trade-school or higher education in building/mechanical systems, plus 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Good mathematical aptitude required.
• Good communication and organization skills.
• Ability to travel, 50% or more.
• Position requires a drug screen.
• Demonstrated on-the-job experience or formal trade school education in building and mechanical systems.
• 5 years of experience.
• Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or other applicable field.
• Master mechanic/technician.

Responsibilities

• Conduct an inventory of client facilities classifying building components per ASTM UNIFORMAT II.
• Perform assessments of facilities using professional expertise to determine physical condition and conformance.
• Experience using facility condition assessment software; knowledge of BUILDER SMS is desirable; training available.
• Document mechanical or electrical equipment with tablets and justify condition.
• Work under direct supervision and in accordance with instructions and standard practices.
• Inspect large complexes and climb ladders to assess building elements and subcomponents.
