Job summary

DEFCON AI is seeking an Architecture and Data Lead in Washington, DC, to drive integration across the U.S. military's logistics ecosystem. This senior role demands 10+ years of software architecture experience, focusing on designing and building critical integration platforms that manage data flow across various DoD systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience delivering system-of-systems integrations and a strong grasp of classification-aware architecture. The position includes a competitive salary range of $175,000-$225,000.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software/systems architecture experience including at least one system-of-systems integration effort delivered to production.
• 5+ years of data architecture or data engineering experience on DoD, logistics, or complex-enterprise systems.
• Hands on experience building production integration adapters between systems that were not designed to talk to each other.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the bidirectional data layer connecting major DoD C2 platforms.
• Own end-to-end data flow from authoritative DoD systems into and across the platform.
• Implement classification-aware controls with fail-safe enforcement.
