Job summary

Electric Power Engineers, LLC in the United States is seeking an Electrical Engineer to perform protection studies, develop fault-event analyses for distribution substations and feeders, and prepare relay setting files for SEL and GE relays.

You will interpret drawings, collaborate with utility clients daily, manage multiple tasks to meet quality and budget goals, and contribute to a modern grid design through energy intelligence software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience running distribution protection coordination studies for utilities.
• Experience preparing relay setting files for SEL-351 and SEL-651R.
• Familiar with SEL Quickset and protective relays.
• Strong ability to produce quality documents and reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform protection studies including model development and short circuit analysis.
• Prepare relay setting files for protective relays.
• Perform fault event analysis for distribution substations and feeders.
• Interpret electrical drawings and relay logic diagrams.
• Collaborate daily with utility clients and manage multiple tasks.
