Actalent is seeking a Distribution Designer to design overhead and underground electric distribution facilities from 4kV to 69kV. The role collaborates with engineering and field teams to ensure accurate, standards-compliant designs and timely delivery.

The position is contract-based, primarily remote with occasional office visits in Seattle/Bellevue, WA, and requires strong CAD drafting skills using AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Formación

• Five+ years design experience with CAD software.
• Ability to produce clear, accurate design sketches and drawings.
• Experience preparing cost estimates and construction documentation.
• Proficient in electric distribution system design calculations.
• Knowledge of industry standards for overhead/underground facilities.

Responsabilidades

• Design overhead and underground electric distribution facilities (4kV–69kV).
• Prepare sketches, drawings, BOMs, and construction documents.
• Apply standards and industry practices in designs.
• Perform design calculations for safety and reliability.
• Prepare plans including profiles, loadings, and equipment specs.
• Coordinate with engineers and field staff to clarify requirements.
• Identify ROW needs and gather field data for accurate designs.
• Monitor project schedules and report changes impacting scope, schedule, and budget.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Suggest opportunities to improve design and construction quality.
