Job summary

CORT is seeking a full-time Dispatcher to join our Centralized Dispatch Team in a work-from-home capacity. The role coordinates daily route execution, supports operations across districts, and communicates in real time with drivers, internal teams, and customers to keep deliveries on track.

The Dispatcher serves as a key problem solver, balancing multiple tasks with calm, organized communication to ensure timely deliveries and strong customer service. Must be able to work CST/ET hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5+ years of customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in a high-volume call center or fast-paced service environment preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, required.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee daily delivery and pickup operations utilizing routing and dispatch systems.
• Monitor fleet activity in real time and proactively resolve service disruptions to maintain delivery commitments.
• Communicate with Delivery Management, Operations, Sales, and Customers regarding route status and updates.
• Deliver timely, two-way communication via email, phone, text, ERP, and routing software.
• Conduct customer pre-call communications for next-day deliveries and pickups.
• Plan, configure, and optimize routes using Descartes Routing Software to improve efficiency.
• Manage daily dispatch capacity to meet service demand.
• Collaborate across dispatch, operations, and customer service teams.
