Job summary

Clark County is seeking a Disease Intervention Specialist to conduct STI/HIV investigations, education, and referrals under the STI HIV Prevention and Harm Reduction Program. The role includes fieldwork, partner notification, and collaboration with medical providers to ensure patient care and treatment follow-through.

Successful candidates will work in a diverse community, promote equity, and may engage in remote/hybrid work while residing in WA or OR.

Qualifications

• Education, training or experience in counseling or health outreach.
• Must obtain WA Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist certification within the first year.
• Fluency in English and possibly another language depending on the community served.

Responsibilities

• Conduct case investigations for STIs and HIV and perform partner notification.
• Provide confidential counseling and referrals to testing and care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in required databases and reports.
• Engage in field investigations, community outreach, and linkage to care.
• Collaborate with medical providers and public health staff to promote testing and treatment.
