Disability Rights New York (DRNY) seeks an Intake Specialist to assess clients, guide them to services, and support the Intake Director. You will be the first point of contact for clients, interview prospects, and document case information in a secure system.

This non-exempt, full-time role in Albany requires a bachelor’s degree (preferred) or 3+ years in human services, strong communication, and ability to manage 60–80 open cases.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a non-profit or human services environment is preferred.
• Experience working with people with disabilities is favored.
• Multilingual skills are preferred.
• Ability to balance an active caseload of 60-80 clients.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor under pressure.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

Aufgaben

• Act as the first point of contact with DRNY for clients.
• Interview prospective clients, family members, advocacy groups, and others.
• Assess information to identify key issues and DRNY priorities.
• Input, track, and retrieve case information in a designated database.
• Work with staff to identify appropriate solutions for client issues.
• Provide multilingual client support as needed.
• Travel within New York State and outside as necessary.
