Job summary

Alight Solutions Ltd is seeking a temporary Disability Case Manager to administer and case-manage assigned Group Disability claims. You will work with STD, LTD, and Risk Management resources to ensure plan provisions and guidelines are followed.

You will engage with claimants, physicians, HR, and plan holders, determine eligibility, and prepare initial benefit decisions. The role requires strong analysis, clear communication, and a focus on timely, accurate outcomes.

Qualifications

• 4-year college education or equivalent experience.
• 2 years disability claim management experience.
• Experience with regulatory and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Outreach to claimants, managers, physicians, HR, payroll, and other sources to obtain information.
• Communicate claim status and decisions via phone and written correspondence.
• Initiate communications to claimant, physician, and plan holder to obtain information and assess claims.
• Prioritize and review new claims to meet productivity targets and fast-track processes.
• Investigate and analyze claim information to determine coverage and eligibility.
• Determine disability by comparing functionality with job and set up initial benefit approvals.
• Follow claim management procedures and identify return-to-work or accommodation opportunities.
• Utilize MDA and other disability guidelines to support returning claimants to active work.
• Assess offsets and recalculate benefits to prevent under/overpayments.
