Job summary

Alight Solutions in Kentucky is seeking a temporary Disability Case Manager to administer and case-manage assigned Group Disability claims. They will follow the plan provisions, state and federal guidelines, and established protocols.

They work jointly with other team members within STD, and LTD and Risk Management resources. The role requires proactive outreach to claimants, physicians, HR, and plan holders, to obtain information, communicate decisions, and assess eligibility while maintaining

Qualifications

• Ability to solve problems independently.
• Clear communication of claim decisions in writing and verbally.
• Strong math aptitude, multitasking and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work/education experience.
• Two years of disability claim management or related group insurance experience.
• Experience with regulatory and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Proactively obtain and dispense information from claimants and stakeholders.
• Communicate claim status and decisions by phone and written.
• Initiate communications to obtain information and make initial claim decisions.
• Prioritize and review new claims to meet productivity standards.
• Investigate claim information to determine coverage and eligibility.
