Job summary

Alight Solutions is seeking a temporary Disability Case Manager in the United States (New Hampshire) to administer and manage assigned Group Disability claims. You will work with STD, LTD, and Risk Management resources, following plan provisions and regulatory guidelines to determine coverage and benefits.

You will communicate claim status and decisions to claimants, physicians, and plan holders, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate outcomes while adhering to productivity

Qualifications

• 4-year college education or equivalent work/education experience.
• 2 years of disability claim management experience.
• Experience with candidate regulatory and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Communicate claim decisions clearly via telephone and written correspondence.
• Initiate information gathering from claimants, physicians, HR, and plan holders.
• Prioritize and review new claims to meet departmental productivity targets.
• Investigate and analyze claim information to determine coverage and benefit eligibility.
• Determine disability by comparing functionality with job and set up initial benefit approval.
• Identify return-to-work and accommodation opportunities when applicable.
• Utilize disability guidelines and tools to support claims processing and return-to-work goals.
• Recalculate benefits for offsets and ensure accurate payments.
