Job summary

UnityPoint Health seeks a System Privacy Officer Director to lead privacy governance across UPH and affiliated entities, protecting PHI, PII and confidential data. This role directs the privacy program's development, evaluation, and oversight, including breaches and investigations, training, and policy compliance.

The Director oversees privacy officers, systemwide privacy initiatives, third-party access, and collaboration with legal counsel, IT, and marketing to ensure privacy and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or related field (Required).
• Master’s degree in healthcare or related field (Preferred).
• 8 years in healthcare privacy with 5+ years as Privacy Officer.
• Experience in training, investigations, risk assessments, auditing and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to achieve organizational goals and privacy program outcomes.
• Guide organization on protected health information management.
• Oversee privacy program development, training, and policy updates.
• Collaborate with security and IT teams to ensure privacy compliance and third-party oversight.
