Job summary

Silicon Ranch is hiring a Director of Sourcing to own strategy, sourcing, and risk for major equipment powering our utility-scale solar projects. You will drive multi-year category strategy, lead supplier negotiations, and manage the equipment budget while partnering with engineering, legal, and project management across the U.S.

You will mentor the procurement team, strengthen supplier performance, and ensure trade compliance and ITC-related content.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain with leadership experience.
• Experience in renewables, power, construction, infrastructure, or related industries; utility-scale renewables preferred.
• Proven track record negotiating complex transactions and long-term master agreements.
• Experience with EPC contracts and logistics coordination for major equipment.
• Trade-compliance depth relevant to solar and ITC-related content.
• Strong financial acumen for pricing trends, commodity fluctuations, and budget ownership.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; strong communication for senior leadership.
• Bachelor’s in business, supply chain, finance, engineering, or related field; MBA or professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute multi-year procurement and category strategy for key equipment.
• Build and maintain long-term strategic supplier relationships for cost, quality, and supply reliability.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract execution.
• Run QBRs and supplier performance metrics to drive accountability.
• Structure MSAs and long-term procurement frameworks.
• Contribute to domestic content strategy to support ITC compliance.
• Manage equipment budget and savings targets.
• Develop procurement policies and governance to improve efficiency.
• Serve as senior owner of trade compliance for equipment sourcing.
• Manage commodity risk and budget impacts; ensure supply continuity.
• Coordinate scheduling, logistics, FAT/source inspection, and non-conformance resolutions.
• Integrate procurement schedules into RFPs and EPC subcontracts.
• Mentor and develop the supply chain team; elevate negotiation capabilities.
• Act as liaison between procurement and cross-functional teams.
