Job summary

HealthTrust in Nashville seeks a Director of Strategic Sourcing and Contracting to drive direct spend strategy across Medical/Surgical, Laboratory, Heart & Vascular, and perioperative categories. You will lead cross-functional teams, align sourcing with financial and clinical goals, and oversee contract governance.

Responsibilities include RFP development, negotiations, supplier relationship management, lifecycle management in the CLM system, and reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Required)
• MBA or advanced degree (Preferred)
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationship management in healthcare (Required)
• Strong negotiation skills and track record of cost savings (Required)
• Knowledge of healthcare supply chain processes, regulations, and best practices (Required)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills (Required)
• Ability to travel up to 50% (Required)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the strategic sourcing strategy for direct spend categories.
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive cost savings and quality improvements.
• Represent supply chain on relevant service line committees.
• Direct multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure contracting processes including market research, RFI/RFP/Bid preparation, negotiations.
• Develop and maintain the contracting work plan and update the CLM system.
• Cultivate and maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct business reviews.
• Collaborate on outsourced arrangements and monitor invoices for compliance.
• Stay informed on market trends and regulatory changes affecting healthcare.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, legal, and clinical teams.
