Otsuka America Pharmaceutical Inc. (OAPI) seeks a Director of Specialty Operations to lead the launch of a new ultra-orphan specialty product.

You will build and optimize an integrated operations model, aligning distribution, reimbursement, and patient services with brand strategy. Collaboration with Brand Marketing, Access Strategy, Data & Analytics, Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Legal will be essential to ensure seamless patient care, scalable site-of-care delivery, and compliant

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or PharmD degree required; MBA preferred.
• 5–7 years in specialty model development/operations, with product launches and direct reports.
• Proven cross-functional leadership with Brand Marketing, Access Strategy, patient services.
• Deep knowledge of specialty operating models, reimbursement, distribution, HUB, buy-and-bill and site-of-care.
• Governance experience across external vendors and institutional stakeholders.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and communication; collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of operational strategies for a new specialty product launch.
• Develop a comprehensive specialty operations plan including distribution, buy-n-bill, dispensing, patient support, reimbursement, and logistics.
• Act as primary contact for specialty model considerations during launch; guide internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the specialty distribution network; ensure compliance and quality.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards; report progress to senior leadership; lead quarterly vendor reviews.
