Job summary

Western Digital is seeking a strategic Director of Business Systems to lead Sourcing, Procurement, and Spend Analytics in a remote capacity across the United States. You will oversee end-to-end Source-to-Pay and partner with executives to shape procurement strategy and drive digital transformation through data-driven insights.

Your leadership will mentor a team of analysts and procurement professionals, design KPI dashboards, optimize costs, and ensure compliant, scalable procurement processes

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, or related business operations.
• 5+ years in a director-level or senior management position with cross-functional leadership.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with Source-to-Pay systems, including implementation, configuration, and optimization.
• Experience in Process optimizations using Agentic AI preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in spend analytics, data analysis, and business intelligence tools.
• Expertise in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion cloud).
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract administration.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and drive cost optimization and savings initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Direct the strategy, implementation, and optimization of Source-to-Pay systems and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of business systems analysts, procurement specialists, and technical professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Develop and execute comprehensive spend analytics programs to identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier performance insights, and procurement risk mitigation strategies.
• Oversee the integration and management of procurement technology platforms, including ERP systems, e-procurement tools, and analytics solutions.
• Design and implement process improvements across sourcing, procurement, and vendor management functions to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT to align procurement systems with broader business initiatives.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor procurement metrics, spend trends, and system performance.
• Lead vendor management initiatives, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and relationship optimization.
• Champion digital transformation and automation initiatives to streamline procurement workflows and enhance data visibility.
• Provide executive-level reporting and insights on procurement performance, cost savings, and strategic recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
