Job summary

Western Digital seeks a strategic Director of Business Systems to lead Sourcing, Procurement, and Spend Analytics across the United States in a remote capacity. You will oversee end‑to‑end Source‑to‑Pay, drive cost optimization, and partner with executives to transform procurement with data‑driven insights.

You will mentor a cross‑functional team, implement ERP/e‑procurement platforms, and set KPIs to measure performance and impact. Remote role with broad cross‑functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, or related business operations.
• 5+ years in a director-level or senior management position with demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Source-to-Pay systems, including implementation, configuration, and optimization
• Experience in Process optimizations using Agentic AI preferred
• Advanced proficiency in spend analytics, data analysis, and business intelligence tools
• Expertise in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion cloud)
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract administration
• Demonstrated ability to identify and drive cost optimization and savings initiatives

Responsibilities

• Direct the strategy, implementation, and optimization of Source‑to‑Pay systems and processes, ensuring alignment with objectives
• Lead and mentor a high‑performing team of business systems analysts, procurement specialists, and technical professionals
• Develop and execute spend analytics programs to identify cost‑saving opportunities, supplier performance insights, and procurement risk mitigation
• Oversee the integration and management of procurement technology platforms, including ERP systems, e‑procurement tools, and analytics solutions
• Design and implement process improvements across sourcing, procurement, and vendor management functions
• Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT to align procurement systems with broader initiatives
• Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor procurement metrics and spend trends
• Lead vendor management initiatives, including contract negotiations and performance evaluations
• Champion digital transformation and automation initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance data visibility
• Provide executive‑level reporting and insights on procurement performance and savings
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements
