Job summary

Zelestra is seeking a Director, Powered Land Origination to build and lead the US powered land development business. You will screen, secure, and develop large-scale sites across SPP, ERCOT and MISO, managing them from initial screening through sale while Zelestra retains long-term energy assets.

This is a hands-on originator role requiring travel and collaboration with multiple teams. Responsibilities include originations, regulatory strategy, customer origination with hyperscalers, and the

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy development or data center site development.
• Proven track record originating and closing infrastructure development transactions.
• Knowledge of SPP, ERCOT and MISO and regulatory frameworks for large loads.
• Experience with wind/solar resource assessment and energy modeling.
• Experience with permitting, zoning, entitlement, and community engagement.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% and hands-on originator role.

Responsibilities

• Own the powered land pipeline across SPP/ERCOT/MISO.
• Secure site control and set land strategy.
• Lead data center development to a customer-ready powered land package.
• Lead regulatory and utility strategy for each site.
• Lead customer origination and product development.
• Negotiate site sale or lease arrangements.
• Lead community and stakeholder engagement.
• Develop digital/AI toolkit to support development and commercialization.
• Own budgets, timelines, risk registers and ROI for sites.
