Optum is seeking a Director, Payer Technology Optum Advisory to lead delivery leadership roles on complex healthcare payer consulting engagements and coordinate cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes AI-enabled solutions, architecture, and measurable client outcomes.

You will guide senior stakeholders, produce executive-ready materials, and drive value realization while working remotely within the U.S. with in-office expectations in certain markets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in management consulting with a healthcare payer focus.
• 5+ years in Healthcare payer domain (claims, provider, finance, enrollment & eligibility, billing, utilization management).
• 3+ years in Agile development methodology including Capability Management and Program Increment Planning.
• 3+ years presenting to clients and senior executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve in delivery leadership and/or business solution architect roles on complex engagements.
• Lead matrixed client and consulting teams across engagements with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Leverage AI-enabled solutions to strengthen delivery, insight generation, and reusable capabilities.
• Document end-to-end solution movement from intent to completion with end-state diagrams and architecture.
• Diagnose client issues and define practical, strategic solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Build alignment among stakeholders to support adoption and value realization.
• Produce high-quality client deliverables and executive-ready updates and proposals.
• Coach and develop team members, reviewing outputs for accuracy and usefulness.
