Job summary

Prime Therapeutics is seeking a Director of Underwriting to lead multiple underwriting teams and drive pricing strategy, financial analysis, and competitive proposal development. This role oversees underwriting operations across client segments to ensure financial performance and market competitiveness.

The Director partners across the organization to influence business strategy, support growth, and deliver sustainable financial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Accounting, Finance or related fields; or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of underwriting, healthcare finance, pricing, or related experience.
• 5 years of leadership/people management experience.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic direction and day-to-day guidance to underwriting managers to meet organizational needs.
• Develops ASO pricing, margins, and strategies with senior leadership.
• Oversees and coordinates underwriting workflow across teams.
• Ensures responses to RFPs are complete and accurate with clear definitions and caveats.
• Consults with Legal and Client Engagement to ensure deal terms are accurate and support underwriting.
• Implements standard operating procedures; tracks bids and drives efficiency metrics.
• Provides support to Blue Plan Leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
