Job summary

Pathward, N.A. seeks a Director of Compliance for the Tax Division to lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of our compliance program that ensures adherence to federal and state laws, banking regulations, tax industry requirements, and internal policies.

The Director serves as the key compliance advisor to tax division leadership, BSA/AML operations, and risk groups to ensure proper controls, reporting, and system enhancements are made and implemented.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and work experience.
• Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation preferred.
• Experience leading compliance programs or teams (5+ years).
• Experience with banking, tax financial products or consumer financial services.

Responsibilities

• Leads the compliance team to develop skills, provide training, and establish standards.
• Designs and manages risk-management processes for bank products and loan portfolio compliance.
• Directs loss-prevention reviews and uses Power BI reporting for due diligence.
• Leads regulatory reviews and enhances internal controls and reporting.
• Collaborates with risk groups and compliance oversight for program insights.
• Oversees due diligence for independently owned Tax Offices and updates policies.
