Job summary

Baylor Genetics is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead a team of project and program managers to plan, coordinate, and execute cross-functional programs that support strategic goals across product development, clinical operations, IT, regulatory/compliance, and more.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in regulated laboratory environments and a proven ability to deliver results in fast-paced, matrixed organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in new product development, program or portfolio management in biotech or diagnostics.
• 3+ years in people leadership and managing large cross-functional programs.
• Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, clinical testing, and healthcare regulations.
• Experience with PMO, governance, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of strategic initiatives across multiple workstreams.
• Mature PMO capabilities, institute best practices, tools, and discipline.
• Partner with Product, Clinical, Lab Operations, Informatics, and Regulatory to set objectives and metrics.
• Drive governance with KPIs, timelines, budgets, and reporting; monitor progress.
• Provide updates to executives, including the CEO, via dashboards and reviews.
• Identify and mitigate risks; maintain project timelines and objectives.
• Manage dependencies and resource allocation across teams to align with priorities.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g., CLIA, CAP, HIPAA, Part 11).
• Lead post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned.
