Job summary

Karmak is seeking a Director of Software Development to lead a 30+ engineering organization supporting the Karmak Fusion platform. This remote US role requires coordinating with Support, Implementation, Product, and DBA teams, with limited travel (1–2 trips/year).

You will set release strategies, manage escalations, and drive AI-assisted development initiatives. Ideal candidates have a strong MS stack background, 10+ years in software, and proven leadership of large teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years software development experience.
• Deep technical depth on the Microsoft development stack; read and reason about .NET (C#/VB.NET) and SQL Server.
• Experience leading teams of 30+ engineers and managing managers or an organization of 30+ engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and direction to development managers and their teams.
• Own go/no-go decisions at each release checkpoint and balance patch vs. upgrade paths.
• Lead incident response for customer-impacting issues and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Direct the daily product delivery rhythm in partnership with Support, DBA, Installations, and Product.
