Job summary

CBRE Government and Defense is seeking a Director of Project and Document Controls to serve as the central authority for project documentation governance, controls oversight, and PMIS optimization across multiple portfolios. You will support PM teams with audit-ready information from initiation through closeout.

You will lead the documentation audit function, ensure submittals, RFIs, test reports, schedules, budgets, and change logs meet contractual and federal requirements. Travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of project controls or PMIS experience in federal/government contracting.
• Experience leading project controls, document management, and PMIS administration.
• Strong proficiency with Procore, RMS, SharePoint, Primavera P6 scheduling.
• Ability to ensure audit-ready, compliant project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and improve project controls processes aligned with contracts and regulations.
• Oversee schedule updates and critical-path impacts to maintain timelines.
• Administer PMIS platforms (Procore, RMS, Kahua) and user training.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for internal, client, and government reviews.
• Develop dashboards and reports for leadership on project status.
